About Us

It all started in 1968, when two Virginia Beach lifeguards decided to do more than watch the waves. They opened a pizza spot on the corner of 21st and Atlantic and poured everything they had into it. That spot became Chicho's Pizza, “The Locals' Favorite”, and over the next five decades, it grew into one of the most beloved names in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake, with nine locations and a food truck serving up fresh pies to this day.

Now, from that same story, comes Chos Kitchen + Bar, the newest chapter from the Chicho's family. We're back at the Oceanfront, at 11th Street, and we built this place to honor everything that made 1968 special. The neon signs, the retro beach feel, the surfboards on the wall, the cold drinks... Walk in, and you'll feel it right away: this place has history, and we're proud of it.

The bar is the heart of Chos. We built it that way on purpose. A place where you can pull up a stool after a long day at the beach, order something cold, and just be. Good drinks, good food, good people.
